Full 30 Days — November Four Last Things Challenge ✝️

📌 PIN THIS — November 1 Kickoff

✝️ MEN — NOVEMBER

October we prayed the Rosary.

November the Church gives us something harder.

This month we meditate on the Four Last Things:
Death. Judgment. Hell. Heaven.

Not to be morbid — but to be free.

A man who faces these realities honestly lives differently. Loves differently. Fights differently.

Daily message every morning. Short. Direct. One challenge.

Let's go. ✝️

☠️ WEEK 1 — DEATH (November 1–7)

✝️ Day 1 — November 1 — All Saints Day

Today the Church celebrates every man and woman who ran the race and finished well.

They were not perfect. They were faithful.

"I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7

Today: Name one saint you actually admire. Ask for his intercession today. That man is cheering for you.

✝️ Day 2 — November 2 — All Souls Day

Today the Church prays for the dead.

Every soul in Purgatory was once a person — a father, a brother, a friend — who died still being refined. They cannot pray for themselves. We can pray for them.

Today: Pray one Eternal Rest slowly and mean every word.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

✝️ Day 3 — November 3

"Remember your last end and you will never sin." — Sirach 7:36

The saints were not morbid — they were free. A man who has faced death honestly cannot be controlled by comfort, status, or fear the same way anymore.

Today: If you died tonight, what is the one thing you would wish you had done differently? Sit with that for five minutes. Do not skip it.

✝️ Day 4 — November 4

Most men live as if they have unlimited time. They do not. Neither do the people they love.

Death is not the enemy of a good life — avoidance of that reality is.

Today: Tell someone in your life something you have been meaning to say. Do not wait.

✝️ Day 5 — November 5

St. Joseph is the patron of a happy death. At his deathbed stood Jesus and Mary.

No man could ask for a better death than that.

Today: Pray one short prayer to St. Joseph for the grace of a holy death — for yourself and for every man in this group.

✝️ Day 6 — November 6

"It is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment." — Hebrews 9:27

Not maybe. Not for some men. For every man.

The question is never whether death is coming. The question is whether a man is ready.

Today: Visit a cemetery if possible. Walk slowly. Pray for the dead. Let it be real.

✝️ Day 7 — November 7

Week one is done.

Death is not the opposite of life — it is the door through which every man will pass. The saints walked through it with confidence because they had spent their lives preparing for it.

This weekend: Pray the Eternal Rest once for a soul nobody else is praying for. Someone forgotten. Someone alone.

That prayer matters more than you know.

⚖️ WEEK 2 — JUDGMENT (November 8–14)

✝️ Day 8 — November 8

"We shall all stand before the judgment seat of God." — Romans 14:10

Not maybe. Not eventually. All of us. The examination of conscience is not spiritual navel-gazing — it is a man preparing his defense before the only Judge who matters.

Today: Five minutes tonight before bed. Examination of conscience. Be honest.

✝️ Day 9 — November 9

Judgment is not God looking for reasons to condemn. It is reality becoming fully visible — every choice, every moment, every man fully seen.

The mercy of God is real. So is His justice. A wise man counts on both and presumes on neither.

Today: Where in your life are you presuming on God's mercy instead of actually changing? Name it.

✝️ Day 10 — November 10

A man who examines his conscience regularly is not weak — he is self-aware in the way that actually changes behavior. Most men avoid looking inward because they are afraid of what they will find.

Look anyway.

Today: Write down one area of your life where your actions do not match what you claim to believe. Just one. Be specific.

✝️ Day 11 — November 11 — Veterans Day

Today honor the men who put their lives on the line for something bigger than themselves.

That is not just patriotism — that is a picture of what every man is called to. A life laid down. A mission accepted. A cost paid without flinching.

Today: Pray for a veteran — living or dead. Thank one if you can.

✝️ Day 12 — November 12

Judgment is not just about what a man did — it is about what he failed to do.

"I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink." — Matthew 25:42

Today: Identify one person in your life who needs something from you that you have been withholding — time, attention, forgiveness, a conversation. Take one step toward it today.

✝️ Day 13 — November 13

The examination of conscience is not about guilt — it is about clarity.

A man cannot fix what he refuses to see. Five minutes of honest self-examination before bed every night will change a man more than almost any other single discipline.

Today: Build the habit. Five minutes. Tonight. Every night this week.

✝️ Day 14 — November 14

For the men walking through OCIA —

The examination of conscience is preparation. At the Easter Vigil you will have the opportunity to receive Confession for the first time. November is the perfect month to build the habit so that moment is everything it was always meant to be.

For every man in this group — baptized or still on the way — the interior work is the same.

Today: Ask God for the grace to see yourself clearly and to want to change what you see.

🔥 WEEK 3 — HELL (November 15–21)

✝️ Day 15 — November 15

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." — Matthew 10:28

Hell is real. The Church teaches it. The saints preached it. Jesus warned about it more than almost any other topic in the Gospels.

A man who takes hell seriously takes sin seriously.

Today: Pray the Fatima Prayer for a soul in danger of being lost.
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

✝️ Day 16 — November 16

Hell is not God's punishment imposed from the outside. It is the final confirmation of a choice a man made from the inside.

"The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

He exists. So does his destination.

Today: Identify one habitual sin that keeps showing up in your examination of conscience. Name it. Bring it to God directly. Ask for the grace to fight it.

✝️ Day 17 — November 17

Fasting is not punishment — it is power.

Today fast from one meal and offer it for the souls in Purgatory who have no one praying for them. Some of those souls may be men just like us — who ran out of time.

Today: Fast one meal. Offer it. Mean it.

✝️ Day 18 — November 18

The doctrine of hell is an act of love.

If God did not respect human freedom enough to allow a man to ultimately reject Him, He would not be a God worth loving. Hell exists because love cannot be forced. Heaven is a free gift that must be freely received.

Today: Who in your life are you praying for who seems far from God? Pray for that person by name today.

✝️ Day 19 — November 19

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many." — Matthew 7:13

The narrow gate is not impossible. But it requires a man to travel light — to leave behind whatever is keeping him from passing through.

Today: What is the one thing you are holding onto that you know is keeping you from the man God is calling you to be?

✝️ Day 20 — November 20

Our Lady of Fatima showed the three shepherd children a vision of hell. It changed them completely. Jacinta, just seven years old, spent the rest of her short life offering sacrifices for sinners.

A seven year old girl understood something most grown men avoid their entire lives.

Today: Pray one Rosary decade for sinners in danger of hell. Offer it like Jacinta did — with full intention.

✝️ Day 21 — November 21

Three weeks in.

Death. Judgment. Hell.

Most men never sit with these realities long enough to let them do their work. The men in this group have. That is not nothing.

This weekend: One sacrifice. Offered for souls. Whatever it costs you — offer it.

🌅 WEEK 4 — HEAVEN (November 22–30)

✝️ Day 22 — November 22

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain." — Revelation 21:4

Heaven is not a consolation prize. It is the entire point.

Every sacrifice, every early morning, every time a man chose what was right over what was easy — it all points here.

Today: Name one saint you want to know better. Start there this week.

✝️ Day 23 — November 23

Heaven is not a place where nothing matters. It is the place where everything that ever mattered becomes fully real.

The relationships. The love. The sacrifice. The faithfulness. All of it — fully alive in the presence of God.

Today: Think of one person you love who has died. Pray for them. Trust that God's mercy is wider than your understanding.

✝️ Day 24 — November 24

The saints in Heaven are not passive. They are alive, active, and interceding.

The Communion of Saints means the men in this group are not alone — every saint who ever lived is on the same team, fighting the same battle, pulling for the same outcome.

Today: Pray the Litany of the Saints or simply call on three saints by name and ask for their intercession.

✝️ Day 25 — November 25

"No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him." — 1 Corinthians 2:9

Whatever a man imagines Heaven to be — it is more. Whatever joy he has experienced in this life — it is a shadow of what is waiting.

Today: Spend five minutes in gratitude. Name five specific things. Thank God directly for each one.

✝️ Day 26 — November 26

A man builds toward something. Every decision is either moving him toward Heaven or away from it.

This is not pressure — it is clarity. The clearest men in history were the ones who knew where they were going.

Today: What is one concrete change you will carry out of November into Advent? Name it. Write it down. Tell one man in this group.

✝️ Day 27 — November 27 — Thanksgiving

Gratitude is not just a feeling — it is a theological act. To give thanks is to acknowledge that everything good comes from God and belongs to Him.

A thankful man is a free man.

Today: At the table — say it out loud. Thank God. Mean it. Let your family hear it from you.

✝️ Day 28 — November 28

Heaven is won in the ordinary moments — not the dramatic ones.

The way a man treats his wife when he is tired. The way he shows up for his kids when he would rather not. The way he keeps his word when no one is watching.

That is where Heaven is built.

Today: Do one ordinary thing with extraordinary love. Do not announce it.

✝️ Day 29 — November 29

Advent begins Sunday.

The Church now turns toward the coming of Christ — and asks every man to prepare.

November taught us what is at stake. Advent asks: what are you doing about it?

Today: Decide now how you will approach Advent. One concrete discipline. One daily practice. Do not wing it.

✝️ Day 30 — November 30 — Closing the Month

Thirty days.

Death. Judgment. Hell. Heaven.

Most men spend their entire lives avoiding these four words. This group spent a month sitting with them — honestly, daily, without flinching.

That is not nothing. That is the beginning of a life lived differently.

Advent starts tomorrow. Christ is coming.

The only question that has ever mattered is the same one November has been asking all month long:

Are you ready?

"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour." — Matthew 25:13

✝️ Let's go into Advent.

Day 5 of Advent

THE ERROR OF ARIUS ABOUT THE INCARNATION

In their eagerness to proclaim the unity of God and man in Christ, some heretics went to the opposite extreme and taught that not only was there one person, but also a single nature, in God and man. This error took its rise from Arius. To defend his position that those scriptural passages where Christ is represented as being inferior to the Father, must refer to the Son of God Himself, regarded in His assuming nature, Arius taught that in Christ there is no other soul than the Word of God who, he maintained, took the place of the soul in Christ’s body. Thus when Christ says, in John 14:28, “The Father is greater than I,” or when He is introduced as praying or as being sad, such matters are to be referred to the very nature of the Son of God. If this were so, the union of God’s Son with man would be effected not only in the person, but also in the nature. For, as we know, the unity of human nature arises from the union of soul and body.

RESTORATION OF MAN BY GOD THROUGH THE INCARNATION

We indicated above that the reparation of human nature could not be effected either by Adam or by any other purely human being. For no individual man ever occupied a position of pre-eminence over the whole of nature; nor can any mere man be the cause of grace. The same reasoning shows that not even an angel could be the author of man’s restoration. An angel cannot be the cause of grace, just as he cannot be man’s recompense with regard to the ultimate perfection of beatitude, to which man was to be recalled. In this matter of beatitude angels and men are on a footing of equality. Nothing remains, therefore, but that such restoration could be effected by God alone.

But if God had decided to restore man solely by an act of His will and power, the order of divine justice would not have been observed. justice demands satisfaction for sin. But God cannot render satisfaction, just as He cannot merit. Such a service pertains to one who ...

It's finally here! Jesus Our Refuge 🙌

It’s finally here!

I’ve been pouring my heart into what I truly believe is an important book—Jesus Our Refuge (get here). It’s the most personal thing I’ve ever written, and my hope is that it helps you find peace and refuge in the heart of Jesus.

Please consider getting a copy here and reviewing!

P.S. I don’t earn anything from this book. When I wrote it, I knew it had to reach far and wide, so I partnered with a publisher who believes in that mission. Every bit of the royalties I’d have received goes into a fund to give away one million copies for free.
