🙏 A Prayer for My Future Wife
Through the intercession of Saint Joseph & Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom
Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the author of every love story
that is truly worth telling.
Before I know her face or speak her name,
You know her completely —
every hope she carries,
every cross she bears,
every quiet prayer she whispers in the dark.
Watch over her today.
In a world that pulls relentlessly
at the heart and the mind,
guard her faith like a flame in the wind.
Where the noise of this age tempts her to drift,
draw her back — gently, persistently —
to Your voice above all others.
Give her the courage to live what she believes
when it costs her something.
Give her the wisdom to choose You
in the moments when the world offers something easier.
Give her the grace to love the Church
not as a rule to follow,
but as a home to return to.
Surround her with holy friendships.
Protect her from relationships that would diminish her.
Heal whatever in her past has wounded her heart
and made her doubt that she is worth a love
that is faithful, fruitful, and free.
And Lord — form me.
Make me the man she deserves.
Strip away in me whatever is selfish, impatient, or proud.
Teach me to love sacrificially before I ever make a vow.
Let the waiting not make me bitter,
but make me better.
Saint Joseph, faithful guardian and chaste spouse,
intercede for us both —
that when God's time comes,
we would recognize each other
not just with our eyes,
but with our souls.
Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom,
keep her close to your Son.
And when I am tempted to rush ahead of God's plan,
remind me that you, too, waited —
and that what God prepares in secret
is always worth the silence.
Most Holy Trinity,
if it is Your will that she and I share this life,
let everything You do in us now
be a preparation for a love
that glorifies You on earth
and draws us both to heaven.
Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…
Amen.
Saint Joseph, pray for us.
Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.
The waiting is not wasted time — it is forming time. Every day spent praying for her, growing in virtue, and deepening in faith is a day spent becoming the husband she needs.
Here is something worth sitting with: If she were praying for you tonight — asking God to form her future husband — what specific area of your life do you believe God is still perfecting in you for her sake?
