⚔️ A Man's Morning Prayer — Rise Again
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Lord God Almighty —
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit —
here stands a man who did not win yesterday.
He fell. He stumbled. He knows it.
But he is on his feet this morning,
and that is Your grace, not his glory.
O my God, Thou knowest my poverty and weakness, and that I am unable to do anything good without Thee; deny me not, O God, the help of Thy grace; proportion it to my necessities; give me strength to avoid everything evil which Thou forbiddest, and to practice the good which Thou hast commanded.
Yesterday is gone.
It cannot be re-fought.
But today — this day — is new.
And You, Lord, are already in it.
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven and the pains of Hell — but most of all because they offend You, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.
Today, Lord, I may face the same battlefield.
I may fail again in the same place.
But I will not stop asking.
I will not stop fighting.
Grant me the courage to face my challenges with faith and the endurance to persevere through trials. Help me to remember that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness, and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Grant me the strength to face the challenges of this day with courage and conviction. Send your Holy Spirit to fill me with hope, faith, and confidence to carry on — not to be intimidated by whatever lies ahead. Help me to stay steadfast, to persevere, and to trust in Your will.
I offer Thee the actions of this day; grant that all of them may be according to Thy holy Will, and for Thy greater glory. Save me from sin and from all evil. Let Thy grace be always with me.
I am weak. You are not.
I am broken. You are the Repairer.
I am a sinner. You are the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world.
So here — take this day.
Take this man.
Make something holy out of him.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
🔥 Remember This:
The Catholic vision of masculine vocation is to lead through service, to protect through love, and to grow in holiness through daily faithfulness. That means getting up every single morning — not because a man has it figured out, but because Christ did what a man never could on Calvary, and now grace is freely available to every man who asks.
Morning prayers are not merely routines — they're moments of divine encounter that nourish the soul daily. The man who prays each morning, even imperfectly, is the man who will eventually be transformed.
What is the one area where you fell short yesterday — and what concrete act of virtue are you willing to commit to today, knowing that grace will be there to meet you?
