In the Jesse Ridgeway case where the youtubers murdered their unborn baby with Downs Syndrome, as people have spoken up against this, the vitriol and, frankly, evil reactions of the pro-abortion crowd has really amped up. I received some comments today that I decided not to reply to because I feel this settling in my spirit that I should not respond to the crazy arguments of demons (thank you Fr. Ripperger and Fr. Martins for that teaching).
It really does feel like we're telling Truths into the void. The prominent and openly accepted acts and words of evil these days is increasing, and if you keep looking at Sodom and Gomorrah you feel your hope, and others even faith and love dry up like a pillar of salt. Look up God. Eyes on Jesus
Today, we consecrate the United States and our local parishes and towns to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We pray for graces to abound greater than the kindled anger of the Enemy who is more bold and brazen and reacts poorly to our zeal and faithful obediences.
Today's also starts the 250 hours of Adoration that parishes can participate in; this is a perfect opportunity to keep eyes on Jesus.
Just another thought, too. Have you ever been snapped at or commented to that challenges your beliefs and you don't know how to respond in a way that completely overrules their accusations, and then you feel bad that you couldn't respond in a life-changing, truth-bombing, soul-saving way? Take a deep breath. Nevermind the vitriol. It could very well be the Holy Spirit stopping you from engaging with the demonic, or even just the fool. Always defer to the Holy Spirit in matters of defending the faith.
I believe we should reveal truth and not allow evil to exist in an echo chamber, but when it feels like the evil starts to really amp up and overcrowd, that's a good clue that it has gone from human reasoning to demonic warfare. That's a good sign to get off social media, leave the argument, kick the dirt from your sandals, and go to Christ.
This is what I think, "don't cast your pearls before swine" means. Our time on earth is precious, our minutes like a string of pearls. And it can be so tempting to cast those pearly minutes to the ether because truth is so easy for us to understand and we're sure the reasoning will get through to these people. But when we notice it is just getting crazy, when they stop asking questions and start with crazed comments and spewing anger and lies and false accusations, you've encountered swine and Christ cast the demons into the swine. Turn your pearly minutes to Christ.
